Engr. Dada Thomas

Chief Executive Officer

MD Frontier Oil Ltd

Engr Dada Thomas is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Frontier Oil Limited. He has over 38 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with a proven track record in Facilities Engineering, Project Management and new business conception and development. He spent his first 21 years in the oil & gas industry with the Shell Group and managed a variety of increasingly complex engineering projects and general management roles in both Nigeria and Holland before venturing into the business world as an entrepreneur.

He resigned from Shell in 1998 to set up Tri-Ocean Nigeria Engineering Ltd., in partnership with Tri-Ocean Engineering Ltd. of Canada, providing engineering and related services to the international oil companies in Nigeria. In 2001, together with his partner, he bought out Tri-Ocean Engineering Ltd. and re-branded the company as Fairshores Ltd. He subsequently formed Frontier Oil Limited with a group of like-minded professionals in 2001to participate in the Federal Government of Nigeria’s first Marginal Field programme.

He has interests in a variety of oil and gas, real estates, facilities management and ICT ventures and is a serving Director of Fairshores Ltd, providing Twister Gas Technology solutions to the Nigerian Oil and Gas industry, and Alpha Mead Facilities Management Company, one of the leading Facilities Management Company in Nigeria. Engr Thomas was a founding and former Director of Geoplex West Africa Ltd. a specialised oil and gas service company providing wireline services to the Nigerian Oil & Gas industry and is the Chairman of Leed Technology Limited a family owned enterprise formed first in Canada and subsequently in Nigeria to promote the various interest of the Thomas family.

Engr. Thomas was appointed a 2nd Vice-|President of the Nigerian Gas Association in 2014. He is also the Chairman of The Marginal Fields Operators Group (MFOG) and the Somope Thomas Education Foundation, a philanthropic organisation he founded to facilitate access to education for the underprivileged in our society.

Engr Thomas is a graduate of Loughborough University of Technology, United Kingdom (1976) and is a registered engineer in Nigeria with COREN, the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA), Canada.

Alison Abbott

Communications Director

World LPG Association

Alison is the Communications Director of the World LPG Association (WLPGA). Alison manages the association’s global communications strategy and is responsible for the communications initiatives of the WLPGA for its members and stakeholders, for the global rollout of the LPG Exceptional Energy brand.

Alison also coordinates the Women in LPG Global Network (WINLPG) which aims to retain and support women in the industry, to lobby and promote the network, and to educate young talent on the careers that the LPG industry can provide. Alison has previously held similar global communications roles with telecommunications and software companies notably with SAP and smaller independent organisations, both in France and the UK.

Alison is British and has lived in Paris for 15 years.

Nikki Brown

Nikki Brown joined Cavagna Group UK Limited in 1993. She was appointed Managing Director of Cavagna Group UK Limited in 2004.

Nikki is Treasurer of UKLPG, the industry association in the United Kingdom. Nikki has been on the board of directors since 2003. She was appointed as Chair in January 2012 and was the first woman in the Association’s history to hold this position. She is the longest serving member of the current Board of Directors. Nikki is also Chair of the Women in LPG Global Network.

Mrs. Nkechi Obi, MON is the Founder and Executive Vice-Chairman of Techno Oil Limited, Nigeria’s foremost Oil and Gas Company. She is a visionary and astute business woman, who presides over the Techno Oil Group, a diversified conglomerate with subsidiaries and interests spanning across Oil and Gas, Aviation, Power and Real Estate.

The business which was founded more than a decade ago in Nigeria from a very humble beginning, is today one of the leading indigenous business conglomerates with operations in key sectors of the economy and providing employment and growth to the economy.

She holds a B.Sc in Economics and she is an alumni of the prestigious Lagos Business School and Harvard Business School. She is an expert in strategy and business development with experience spanning over 25 years in the petroleum industry.
Mrs Obi had a distinguished career in ExxonMobil where she received many commendations and awards as proof of her diligence and high-rated performance. She left ExxonMobil to venture into private business.

She nurtured the company to a remarkable success. Techno Oil has today annual revenues in excess of $250million and staff strength of over 500 personnel.

Techno Oil has through the deployment of various strategic assets and distributive outlets in different locations across Nigeria, supplied a range of quality products that are ISO 9001; 2008 certified by NIS. Our services and products support industries and people. This feat won Techno Oil various award as the supplier of choice in 2009, the most impactful company in the downstream oil and gas 2014 and the most impactful company in clean cooking in 2015.

In recognition of all these achievements, and several other local and global awards. The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria bestowed on her a National Award of the Member of the Order of Niger (MON).

Peter Cameron

Founder and Managing Director

Energy Markets Global Limited

Peter is a strategic, commercial and regulatory expert in the gas, power and energy sectors, and also a training expert, with over 25 years industry experience, including long term assignments in Afghanistan, Argentina, Colombia, Ukraine, Central Asia, Nigeria, Spain, Turkey and the UK, and consultancy projects throughout the world.

Peter has been coming to Nigeria since 2003 and most recently he has been working closely with the Ministry of Petroleum Resources on the development of the new Gas and Petroleum policies for Nigeria.

Toye Odunsi

Managing Director

Mr. Toye Odunsi is an Insurance graduate of the University of Lagos and an alumnus of the Senior Management Programme of the Lagos Business School and Wharton AMP University of Pennsylvania.

He started his career with Financial Assurance Company Ltd in 1989 and was a foundation staff of Cornerstone Insurance Plc in 1991 where he rose to the position of Deputy General Manager, before leaving to set up Signal Insurance Company Ltd in 2002 as the Managing Director. He held this position until the merger with Custodian & Allied Insurance Plc in 2006.

He was at a time seconded to Crusader General Insurance Company Ltd as the Managing Director to represent the interest of Custodian & Allied Insurance and also acted as the Group Managing Director for Crusader Nigeria Plc briefly.

He currently serves as the Managing Director of Custodian & Allied Insurance Ltd and is happily married with Children.
