The President of the Nigeria Liquefied Petroleum Gas Association (NLPGA), the umbrella body of all stakeholders in the Liquefied Petroleum Gas sector in the country, Dayo Adesina, spoke on the recent hike in the price of cooking gas and how the association is partnering enforcement agencies to curb the activities of illegal operators.
The LPG vessel that delivers to jetties where off-takers receive products has been waiting and didn’t berth until four days ago. In-between that period, scarcity comes, tanks are dry and people take advantage and hike the price. With the intervention from the NLNG and NPMC on how they can fortify some of the other jetties, hopefully, this sort of thing won’t happen again.
