NLPGA Safety & Certification Training 2017
The 2017 NLPGA Safety & Certification training program for LPG truck drivers, LPG Plant Operators, LPG Plant Supervisors and LPG Installers will kick off in March 2017 at the following locations - Lagos, Abuja, Kano, Onitsha, Calabar and Onitsha.
In 2016, the Nigeria Liquefied Petroleum Gas Association (NLPGA) organised LPG Safety training and certification programs for truck drivers, plant operators and supervisors nationwide. Truck drivers were trained on the safe handling and transportation of LPG; whilst the other programs for plant operators and supervisors addressed Safety operations of the LPG industry. These training programs were sanctioned by the Department of Petroleum Resources.
The ultimate aim of these programs are to ensure that workers within the LPG industry are more safety conscious. The training equipped workers with the knowledge required to avoid hazards which may arise due to the nature of the work.
Stakeholders benefited from the insightful information provided during the training programs, as the attainment of high safety standards makes it less likely that they would incur losses from industrial accidents and disasters.
All participants were issued certificates at the end of the program.
